However, it is undoubtedly the people behind the brand that make the Hatfield Motor Group the company that it is. Headed up by Mr. Brad Kaftel and his partners, the group took initiative to celebrate their employees for outstanding performance, service and dedication.

Head of Marketing and Communication for the Hatfield Motor Group, Chantelle Potgieter orchestrated the flamboyant event which took place at the prestigious Sandton Convention Center. The theme was concrete jungle and the atmosphere had more electricity than Eskom. With just under 40 dealerships under the HMG banner the hall was jam-packed with excited invitees. Putting into words what the experience was like is somewhat difficult so below you can watch a quick video of the evening.

The Winners

Hard work and dedication definitely do pay off as many sales people took home top awards for exceeding expectations, even in these tough economic times. With just under 200 HMG employees being recognised for their efforts it was the likes of Mr Gavin Jacobs who was awarded for his some 20 years of service with the Hatfield Motor Group. Michele Bessinger, Mike Ling, Napthal Maseko and Themba Masilela and around 53 others were awarded employee of the year from various dealerships ranging from Volkswagen to Ford, Mazda, Jeep and Alfa and even Haval.

Honda Pietermaritzburg's very own Musa Mthembu took home top prize for New Car Sales within the Honda dealership. Mark Govender was awarded for his outstanding efforts at Haval Midrand and the likes of Charlinda Roodt was awarded for her efforts in becoming a top Used Car sales executive at Hatfield VW Pretoria.

The Dealership of the Year award went to Hatfield VW Pretoria headed up by the management team composed of Nic Malec, Christelle Nel, Chris Harmse, Richard en Pieter Jordaan en Buks van Eck.

The celebration of all nominees and winners continued late into the evening with everyone as excited as they were when they arrived. At the end of the day, it is the people that make the difference. It doesn't matter what the vehicle is like and these Hatfield Ambassadors not only have the dedication but they have the passion to see this brand grow. They support their fellow team members and strive to be the best that they can be.
