Audi South Africa has introduced the first of what will eventually be a comprehensive range of products offered as standard with one of two new limited-edition styling and functionality packages. Aimed at making the process of speccing your new
Audi that much simpler, new
Black Edition and Urban Edition packages include several nice-to-have cosmetic and convenience upgrades designed to take the guesswork out of adding specification to a new purchase. Notably, these packages are priced to be more affordable than if you had to add each listed item separately.
The first model line-up to be offered with a new
Black Edition package is the brand’s popular A4 range. Available on the 35 TSFI, 35 TDI and 40 TSFI models, as well as the sporty S4 TSFI quattro, this upgrade adds a Black Styling Package to the car’s S line exterior, a sunroof and 19-inch alloy wheels. Also included are Matrix LED headlamps. The car’s interior gains Fine Nappa leather upholstery, the brand’s newest virtual cockpit upgrade, three-zone climate control, electrically operated front seats and a full bouquet of infotainment, storage and parking assistance technologies.
On the S4 TSFI, the
Black Edition package adds a Bang & Olufsen sound system, sports seats with heating and a massage function and a carbon boot spoiler to the abovementioned specification list.
Audi South Africa says that only 100 examples of the
A4 Black Edition are destined for our market, making each model notably collectable.
While this intriguing update to the A4 range is available immediately,
Audi is planning on adding
Black Edition versions of its Q2, Q3 and Q5 SUVs – including the Sportback versions of the latter two – as well as the A3 and S3 and the A5 and S5 product portfolios in the coming months.
Also on the cards though not yet detailed is an Urban Edition of the A3 Sportback 35 TFSI and Q2 35 TFSI.
