Following its launch last year, Volkswagen are expanding their Tiguan offering with the addition of two new engines. This includes a 2.0 TDI with 110kW and a 2.0 TSI with 140kW. Both engines are paired with a seven-speed DSG transmission.
The Tiguan 2.0 TDI 4Motion offers 110kW and 340Nm between 1750rpm and 3000rpm. This allows the Tiguan TDI to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 9.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 207km/h.
The new Tiguan 2.0 TSI 4Motion offers 140kW and 350Nm between 1500 and 4400rpm, facilitating a 0-100km/h sprint time of 6.5 seconds on it’s way to a top speed of 225km/h.
These two new engines are available in the Tiguan as Life and R-Line derivatives.
Life models feature 10-colour ambient lighting in the dashboard and doors, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with shifting paddles, front seats with height adjustment, safety optimised front head restraints and seat upholstery in fabric with inserts in Life pattern.
The exterior of Life models is finished off with black roof rails, body-coloured bumpers, black trim strips on the side windows, an illuminated moulding between the headlamps, rear combination lamps and door handle recesses as well as 17-inch Bari alloy wheels.
The interior of R-Line derivatives is characterised by sports comfort seats upfront, 30-colour ambient lighting in the dashboard and doors, illuminated decorative inserts in front, a leather wrapped multi-function steering wheel that is also heated and includes paddle shifters and Varenna leather ErgoActive massage seats.
The exterior is differentiated by a bumper in a sports style, an air intake with glossy black trim, silver anodised roof rails, chrome trim strips on the side windows and 19-inch Coventry alloy wheels.

The Tiguan range is sold as standard with a three-year/120 000km warranty and a five-year/90 000km EasyDrive Service plan
